Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for passionate new talent to join our team! We are currently looking for Analyst Business Systems - 9-month contract. This is a hybrid role and there is an in-office requirement of 3 times a week. The office is located in Mississauga.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Engage and collaborate with Continuous Improvement Leads to architect best in class solutions and deliver transformational process efficiencies using industry leading tools such as Process Automation, Tableau Dashboards, Data Management.
- Support projects through business systems analysis, development and maintenance support for Real Estate & Construction applications.
- Support the management of the System Development Life Cycle for large-scale projects or multiple medium to small projects spanning multiple platforms or solutions consisting of complex conversions, integration and/or new development
- Ensure solutions comply with business requirements
- Responsible for the development and maintenance support of IT application standards for design, development and support of technical business solutions
- Support the business teams with developing automated workflows minimizing user touch points
- Transform business use cases to technical solutions using leading technical tools
- Adapt and learn new software technologies to develop and release system enhancements
- Support the business project teams to ensure all requirements are gathered and delivered within project timelines
- Understand business processes and engage with project teams to explore technical solutions and provide solution recommendations.
- Liaise with external application vendors and internal IT support infrastructure as appropriate to plan for and facilitate the installation and configuration of new or upgraded solutions.
- Develop and reports and dashboards to drive insights from large volumes of data.
- Evaluate, plan, and implement improvements using technical practices to address business processes and underlying technology
- Collaborate with business team members and IT; Interacting with related departments to reinforce appropriate information flow and understanding of process improvement goals
- Foster a project environment that encourages employee engagement and motivates team members
- Support the continuous improvement efforts to ensure the strategy is understood and sufficiently supported by the appropriate stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement projects by recommending and developing industry leading technological solutions
- Champion and educate business team member on technical solutions, tools and strength of fact-based development and analytics
- Support objectives of all Real Estate and CI work
What you have to offer:
- Education equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and/or Business
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in delivering end-to-end Technology related projects (must have)
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in solutions and databases with emphasis on VBA, SQL (must have)
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working with Tableau, Power BI or other Reporting/Dashboard Tools (must have)
- Demonstrating the ability to reengineer processes to make them more efficient
- Advanced development knowledge with macros, workflow creation, and process automation
- Demonstrated experience working in project teams and delivering solutions in a timely manner
- Experience with Agile, Lean, and IT project management methodologies
- Experience with Technical Solution Mapping, Development, and Implementation
- Strong experience in solution delivery methodologies
- Strong analytical, oral communication, information presentation, and technical writing abilities
- Ability to work well and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team environment
