Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for passionate new talent to join our team!  We are currently looking for an Administrator Category.  This is an 18-month contract.  It is a hybrid role and there is an in-office requirement of 3 days a week.  The office is located in Mississauga.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

 

  • Accountable to ensure the agreed to merchandising plans set by the Category Manager is communicated and executed for weekly, monthly and seasonal timeframes.
  • Responsible for providing immediate and ad hoc analytical support for the Category Manager on day-to-day activities.
  • Responsible to secure any missing information required for the merchandising services team to execute tasks such as costing, deals, retails, report requirements, RSC’s deleted items, etc.
  • Accountable for their respective development plan to grow and develop as potential future Category Managers and/or leaders.
  • Responsible to support all activities to achieve targeted sales and margin targets for their respective categories.
  • Validate promotions in promotional planning tool and make corrections.
  • Manage downstream tasks from promotional planning tool.
  • Manage Consumer Marketing Administration (CMA) activity.
  • Manage real time promotional changes.
  • Activate promotional retails.
  • Manage coupons for flyer ads.
  • Manage distribution/allocation tables and create booking sheets.
  • Store Communications
  • Act as point of contact for store operations to address issues.
  • Assist with resolution of retail pricing and signage issues.
  • Work with Category Managers to coordinate activities across National Discount function, and Merchandising Services.

What you have to offer:

  • College diploma and a minimum of 1 year relevant experience 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with SAP would be considered an asset
  • Bilingualism would be considered an asset
