Our Office Services Team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is searching for a Receptionist. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for staff and visitors. They set the tone for an engaging experience with our Sobeys office team. In this customer service focused role, the successful candidate will respond to general inquiries via the switchboard, in person interactions or email. If you have excellent interpersonal skills, great communication abilities, and a passion for customer service, this role is for you.  This is a part-time position that is 3 days a week.  This is an in-office based role.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  • Greet staff and visitors with a welcoming attitude and an eagerness to assist. 
  • Answer all incoming telephone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel. 
  • Manage all visitors’ arrival, transition to their host(s) and departure. 
  • Assign visitor passes and manage the visitor calendar/log. 
  • Issue temporary accesses badges, maintain the log and manage inventory control. 
  • Action the Access card appointments and issue access card badge requests, onboarding, exiting, remote access. 
  • Manage all documentation pertinent to reception 
  • Support the Mailroom, shipping and receiving 
  • Manage 3rd party’s access to the property 
  • Support safety/emergency procedure
     

What you have to offer:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, email. 
  • Highly organized, efficient, ability to prioritize and a self-starter in a multi-tasking environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills. (Spoken and written). 
  • Must be a team player and work well with others.
