The Coordinator, Store Communications contributes to the timely and effective communication of day-to-day priorities to stores and supports business-led projects. Their role is to act as the voice of stores by ensuring communications contain all the necessary information for stores to execute the Retail SharePoint sites and other company wide actions.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Vet, proof, and distribute Communications, ensuring content provided by Business Units to stores is clear, concise, specific, and store-ready to execute.
- Prepare and send business unit bulletins (e.g., NewsExpress, CommsExpress, and individual business bulletins and portal sites).
- Support the management of the Retail SharePoint sites, posting daily and weekly communications, maintain and update content site structure.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to backstage employees on how to effectively communicate with store operations using our standard channels. Provide training on Store Communications processes and tools as needed.
- Participating in different initiatives to optimize our processes and be more store-driven (business-led initiatives).
- Maintain templates and tools leveraged for daily communication to stores (e.g., memo, submission form, Market resources, etc.).
- Managing the team capacity tracker.
- Project support.
- Other duties as needed.
- Occasionally provide communication support outside of regular working hours on an on-call basis.

What you have to offer:
- You have an undergraduate degree.
- You have two years of communications experience. (Experience in retail or store operations is an asset).
- Bilingual is an asset. The candidate will be expected to work with peers in other provinces in the development, development and implementation of tools and processes across Canada, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada
- You have a sense of urgency and are results-drive.
- You can successfully and positively navigate a fast-paced growing environment.
- You can work independently as well as part of a team to reach outcomes.
