We currently have a 10-month contract opportunity for a Process Optimization within the Retail Enablement - Support team. The position may be based in our offices across Canada. 
The COE - Retail Support, is a key business unit that supports Retail Operations teams and Stores for the banners: IGA Extra, Sobeys, Safeway, Thrifty Foods, FreshCo, IGA, Foodland, Tradition, Rachelle-Béry, Lawtons Drugs. The COE works closely with Sobeys partners (Project Office, IT, Logistics, Merchandising, Replenishment, Finance, L&D, Customer Care) and acts as a liaison with Retail Operations.


The Specialist will be responsible for the functional health and utilization of core Retail System CAO related to ordering and inventory management. The Specialist will support and ensure systems are working properly with robust processes in place to support the store execution to drive sales, reduce waste, improve supply chain efficiency, and improve the customer experience.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

 

 

  • Provide technical support to users; Understand the technical issues between the different systems of the company and find solutions. Act proactively and anticipate problems.
  • Provide expertise and practical assistance in the investigation, evaluation of retail processes and systems related to ordering, inventory, and production.
  • Improve and evolve constantly the COE Process Optimization and Retail Support program.
  • Maintain positive, collaborative relationships with key third parties to identify new opportunities, conduct research, generate product requirements and solutions.
  • Partner directly with Sobeys Support groups to keep Retail systems performing at peak performance.
  • Collaborate and support business initiatives and cross-functional projects, Testing new system functionalities
  • Provide appropriate training support for Retail Operations teams on retail systems (Enhancements and new functionalities)
     

What you have to offer:

 

  • An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (any other combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • Full knowledge of Store operations, processes, and Retail systems: CAO, FIM, WFM, etc
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodology
