We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Harmonized Reporting & Analytics to join our National Finance team. This position has the option to be based in either Stellarton, Dartmouth, Montreal, or Mississauga.

Job Description

What you'll get to do in this fast paced role:

The Senior Financial Analyst, Harmonized Reporting & Analytics (HRAP), will support the Harmonized Reporting & Analytics Program. The program consists of multiple long-term and interim projects to support more efficient accounting, reporting and planning processes. These consist of technology projects, harmonization efforts regarding definitions, reporting and processes, as well as interim reporting needs. 
•    Be a key project team member who may work across the four functional streams as required. (Streams include: Operations & Merchandise Reporting, Corporate Reporting & Planning, Related Business Support and the set-up of Central Finance)
•    Support project deliverables as defined by project charters including: Process documentation and redesign, reporting design, documenting and design of key definitions and hierarchies, and system testing 
•    Be a conduit to various SME’s and stakeholders to support effective design and process/reporting needs
•    Support financial tracking for projects 
•    Contribute to the acceptance of applications, tools and reporting via a formal test process
•    Complete complex analyses of financial data flow through existing systems and processes to understand interdependencies
•    Lead identification of new and complex business processes and reporting to improve efficiency as it relates to reporting and analytics
•    Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to ensure business
expectations will be met by designed projects
•    Coordinate financial analyses across functional business area (s)
•    Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels to ensure understanding and alignment on deliverables
•    Participate in the creation and delivery of training materials and programs

Job Requirements

What your resume will include and demonstrate to us:

•    Post Secondary Education in Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience
•    MBA and/or Professional designation (CPA) or working towards preferred
•    5+ years of experience in a related Finance/Accounting role
•    Excellent ability to analyze and identify opportunities 
•    Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
•    Autonomous, highly organized and have a keen sense of initiative
•    Ability to use multiple computerized systems to compile useful information
•    Excellent organizational and planning skills
•    Able to work in a team environment
•    Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, BW, and Longview
