Our Prairies Operations network is searching a Business Coordinator who will focus on supporting their locations division events and trips (e.g. own logistics for banner meetings, show and sells, operations meetings/annual department meetings, etc.). This role will bring our company values to life; Customer Driven, Results Oriented, and People Powered through supporting retail operations in their community investments. This role will be based out of our Edmonton or Calgary Office.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Administer Division Calendar (e.g. create single Division calendar view of regular trainings, conferences and leadership trips)
- Aggregate data requested by VP (e.g. track attendance at key meetings, collect weekly recaps from each district)
- Perform research for the DO’s (e.g. look into competitor activities, create one-off reports, etc.)
- Triage requests for VP (e.g. for requests sent to VP, route to the group that can resolve)
- Support Division specific communications initiatives (e.g. work with Marketing to create announcements related to local community events, etc.
- Liaise with Director Business Development, Operation Leaders & Franchisee on FIT/DMIT/SMIT training schedules and progress
- Establish and maintain relationships with store operators and external stakeholders
- Manage business process changes/liaison with the centre
- Act as a liaison for cross-geography logistics
- Other duties as directed
What you have to offer:
- Merchandising or retail experience an asset
- 2+ years relevant experience in a coordinator / administrative role
- Relevant College / University graduate preferred
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel and Power Point)
- Solid ability to arrange, negotiate, and secure contracts with event vendors
