Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
Prescription assembly and data entry:
- Receiving and restocking inventory.
- Compounding medications adhering strictly to recipes and formulations including measuring, mixing, labelling.
- Package completed orders for shipping.
- Maintaining good housekeeping practices in the lab such as cleaning of glassware, equipment, and work areas.
- Provide customer service (answer phone calls, emails) to banner pharmacies receiving services from the compounding pharmacy.
- Ensure compounds are made with precision while minimizing turnaround times.
- Adhere to all applicable Sobeys standards for Pharmacy Practice

Technical Skills:
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions and be a team player in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work with potentially hazardous materials (PPE provided).
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Education and Experience:
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical compounding not required but highly preferred.
- Pharmacy Assistant diploma from a recognized institution.

The salary range for this position in British Columbia is $19.00 - $23.00. We will consider factors such as your working location, work experience and skills as well as internal equity, and market conditions to ensure that you are paid fairly and competitively.
