This position oversees the implementation of Division Grocery Merchandising programs. Responsible for sales, displaying, ordering, inventory control and minimizing out-of-stocks within the department; the overall presentation and profitability of the department, while providing excellence in world-class customer service.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Supervise department staff to include scheduling and assigning duties
- Implement all merchandising programs
- Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met; including cleanliness, inventory control, rotation, ordering and world class customer service
- Responsible for ordering and inventory control
- Monitor to ensure schematic integrity, as well as 100% compliance on ad item display
- Ensure proper backroom procedures are being met
- Ensure paperwork, as set by the division, is followed
- Responsible for the sales and profitability of the department
- Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
- Hire and train or arrange for training of new sales staff
- Leader/coach for store employees; responsible for ensuring employees provide world-class customer service
- Reduce out-of-stocks
- Perform all other related duties assigned by Store Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A High School Diploma (or Equivalent)
- Min 3 years Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager at major retail grocer
- Completion of post-secondary education is preferred
