This position helps to oversee the implementation of Division Grocery Merchandising programs. Responsible for sales, displays, ordering, inventory control and minimizing out-of-stocks within the department; the overall presentation and profitability of the department, while providing excellence in world-class customer service.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  • Supervise staff to include scheduling and assigning duties.
  • Implement all merchandising program
  • Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met; including cleanliness,   inventory control, rotation, ordering and world-class customer service
  • Responsible for ordering and inventory control
  • Monitor to ensure schematic integrity, as well as 100% compliance on ad item display.    
  • Ensure proper backroom procedures are being met 
  • Ensure paperwork, as set by the division, is followed
  • Responsible for the sales and profitability of the department
  • Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
  • Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff
  • Lead/coach store employees; responsible for ensuring employees provide world-class customer service
  • Reduce out-of-stocks
  • Perform all other related duties assigned by Store Manager
